One thing I noticed while looking for houses and running through neighborhoods prior to moving into our home was the absolutely beautiful magnolia trees. I was so excited when we moved in and realized that we actually had one of our very own. We missed most the blooming in the spring because since we have been our home and it has been "Summer in Texas" or really hot. The other morning I noticed that we had a bloom out on our tree and went out to take some pictures. The poor bloom had seen better days, but I didn't care. Even better is once I got out to the tree, there was a bee having his morning breakfast. Pretty soon I couldn't decide what I liked better - the bloom or the bee. Here are some photos, hopefully you can see why I was so easily entertained.
