Busy Izzie
Izzie played more softball this year! She is really enjoying it and having a great time. She played on a team with West Valley Bonnet Ball and then on the 10U All-Star team. She is also playing the piano and loves to play what she chooses and not her practice material. She has had a great summer and is ready for 5th grade!

Jake's Baseball
Jake spent his summer playing Baseball. He played for two teams - Hunter Wolverines 7th & 8th grade developmental team and the Hunter Hight Varsity Prep team. He was one of only two 7th graders selected to play on the varsity prep team. He had a great time and really enjoyed playing with the older kids. He also had the opportunity to go to scout camp for a week and get away from all the girls! He has a job mowing lawns for our neighbor and hates saving his money for the National Jamboree - life is tough when you are 13!

India
As I go back and review the past summer and prepare to send the kids off to school, it has been a very busy one! Summer started early for our family as I went to India for 2 weeks in May. Grandma Ruth and Dad were in charge and did a fine job - but yes it is vacation when mom is away.
We stopped in London on our way and I can now say I have been to London and do not care to go back. We did all the normal sight-seeing things and saw Wicked, but our debacle with Virgin Airlines left a very sour note on the entire visit. We had a great time touring around and seeing the city, but the food was NOT good!
After 2 days in London it was off to India for work. We work so hard while we are there (18 -20 hrs a day) but it is so much fun. I love our staff and the opportunity to learn from them as well. On my previous trip the my favorite thing we did was go to church, we missed church this time to go to the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. It is absolutely amazing! Well worth the 12 hr drive each way on 1 1/2 lane roads. However my favorite thing was the visiting we did on the way back with our friend Bob. We talked quite a bit about church and the gospel and when we left, I gave him a Book of Mormon - little seeds. I am not sure what will happen, but have faith that little seeds planted can have a big effect.
A busy two weeks and we were back home in the US, which is the best feeling!

A new blog!
As if my running blog is not all consuming enough, I felt the need to have a family blog as well. A new obsession has been born. I am hoping to chronicle our ups and our downs and create a journal for my children since I have no time for scrapbooking.
